DAY 1: SAN FRANCISCO
Arrive in San Francisco. Pick up your rental car at the airport and begin exploring, or proceed to your Hotel.
DAY 2: SAN FRANCISCO
A full day to explore this vibrant city. You may want to take a sightseeing tour by trolley, or rent a bicycle and explore on your own. Included in your vacation is a CRUISE in San Francisco Bay. See the beautiful Golden Gate Bridge, notorious Alcatraz Island, and incredible views along the way. Your local host will have suggestions for additional sightseeing, dining, and shopping.
DAY 3: SAN FRANCISCO-YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
Spend some time discovering San Francisco this morning, or start the journey to Yosemite National Park. Before arriving in Yosemite, you may want to stop in Sonora and visit Columbia State Historic Park. You can experience the by-gone area of the California Gold Rush. Arrive in Yosemite National Park, home to spectacular granite cliffs, waterfalls, clear streams, and Giant Sequoia groves. Approximately 188 mi/302 km.
DAY 4: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
Yosemite is full of opportunities! Explore by hike or bike, spend time with a Park Ranger to learn about Yosemite, or get a broad overview on a tram tour. During the Summer months, you can even help Yosemite by volunteering for a few hours.
DAY 5: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK-NAPA AREA
Drive to California’s wine country today. You may want to stop in the State Capital, where you will get a taste of the Old West in Old Sacramento. It is complete with cobblestone streets flanked with wide wooden sidewalks. Approximately 194 mi/312 km.
DAY 6: NAPA AREA
Enjoy an entire day to discover this wonderful region. You may want to visit some of the local vineyards and discover a new favourite wine, take an excursion on the Napa Valley Wine Train, play a round of golf, or treat yourself to a relaxing spa treatment. In the evening, why not enjoy one of the area’s gourmet restaurants?
DAY 7: NAPA AREA-EUREKA/REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK
Drive to the coast and take scenic Highway 1 North. Pass beautiful beaches, charming coastal communities, and scenic Ocean views. Approximately 258 mi/415 km.
DAY 8: EUREKA/REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK
A full day at leisure to explore Redwood National park.
DAY 9: EUREKA/REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK- SAN FRANCISCO
Retrace your steps along the coast or travel inland. Before arriving back in San Francisco, you may want to stop at the picturesque waterfront community of Sausalito, World-renowned for its Mediterranean flair and breathtaking views. Approximately 272 mi/437 km.
DAY 10: SAN FRANCISCO
Return your rental car at the air-port prior to departure.
