After touring this bustling City, head South to Sicily Island, to a small town called Taormina. It is a beautiful coastal town that while it’s quieter than its Metropolis counterpart, has no shortage of monuments itself. The culinary delights it has to offer is second to none.

DAY 1: ROME

DAY 2: ROME

Your morning guided sightseeing and orientation, with headset, is rich in religious and ancient history. Visit the VATICAN MUSEUMS to see its amazing treasures. In the SISTINE CHAPEL, where the Conclave is held to elect new Popes, view Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement and his famous ceiling paintings.

DAY 3: ROME

Your Local Host will have many suggestions so you can make the most of your day. Maybe a trip to ancient Ostia by train will interest you or a cooking lesson with lunch. Try “The Magic of Rome” excursion with the Catacombs, a guided walking tour on Tiber Island and unique St. Nicholas Church, or just choose to relax at Gianicolo Park with its panoramic views, carousels, and puppet shows.

DAY 4: ROME – TAORMINA RIVIERA

Travel by air on selected flights to Catania, then transfer to your hotel in beautiful Giardini Naxos on the Taormina Riviera.

DAY 5: TAORMINA

Morning guided sightseeing and orientation of picturesque Taormina, perched on a cliff overlooking the Ionian Sea. See Piazza Sant’Antonio, the Badia Vecchia fortress, the 13th-century gothic cathedral, Piazza IX Aprile with its 12th-century clock tower, and Churches of San Giuseppe and Sant’Agostino. Visit the breathtaking GREEK-ROMAN THEATER, remarkable for its preservation and panoramic views.

DAY 6: TAORMINA

Today, consider a trip to Agrigento’s Valley of the Temples and Villa del Casale’s famous mosaics in Piazza Armerina, a boat cruise to Panarea and Stromboli, or Mount Etna at sunset. Don’t forget to try Sicilian favorites: granite al caffè con panna (iced coffee with whipped cream) and brioche con gelato (sweet roll filled with ice cream). DAY 7: TAORMINA

Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning (the nearest airport is Catania).
