About this Tour

This 12 days tour explores the Biblical sites in two of the region’s most fascinating countries, Israel and Jordan. From Tel Aviv the tour travels north through Caesarea and Megiddo, the site of Armageddon, to the plains of Galilee. Guests will visit Capernaum and Nazareth before returning south along the Jordan River to Jerusalem. After visiting Masada and the Dead Sea you will continue into Jordan, where you will see the ancient Roman city of Jerash and the incredible UNESCO Heritage site of Petra.

Itinerary

DAY 1: ARRIVAL IN ISRAEL

Meet with your local representative and transfer to hotel; remainder at your own leisure

DAY 2: OLD JAFFA – TEL AVIV – CAESAREA

After breakfast visit Old Jaffa, Tel Aviv, Diaspora Museum and transfer to Caesarea; arrive in Tiberias at late afternoon

DAY 3: MEGIDDO – MT. CARMEL – NAZARETH

Visit Megiddo, Mt. Carmel, Nazareth Village; try a biblical style lunch; visit the Basilica of the Annunciation

DAY 4: TEL DAN – CAESAREA PHILIPPI – MOUNT BENTAL

Visit to Tel Dan with a short hike then move on to Caesarea Philippi; afternoon watch the OZ 77 presentation; back to Tiberius to the look out at Mount Bental

DAY 5: MOUNT OF BEATITUDES – SEA OF GALILEE – CAPERNAUM

Visit Mount of Beatitudes, lakeside chapel of the Church of the Primacy of Peter; tour the ancient synagogue at Carpernaum; enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch

DAY 6: JORDAN RIVER – QUMRAN – DEAD SEA – BETHLEHEM

Visit Jordan River and Qumran; enjoy your free time at Dead Sea

DAY 7: BETHLEHEM – EIN KEREM – LATRUN – FIRE SCROLL – BETHLEHEM

Visit site of the Nativity, the Shepherds fields, Ein Kerem, Latrun Monastery and the Scroll of Fire monument

DAY 8: BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM – THE OLD CITY – BETHLEHEM

Tour begins on Mt. Zion, Chiapas Palace, Old City; continue to the Jerusalem Archaeological Park/ Davidson Center

DAY 9: JERUSALEM

Visit Basilica of the Agony and Western Wall Tunnels

DAY 10: EXPLORING THE PAST

Morning visit Yad Vashem; after lunch head to the Israel Museum; afternoon visit the village of Erin Karem and Western Wall; enjoy the spectacular sound & light show at the Tower of David Museum

DAY 11: JERUSALEM – THE OLD CITY

Visit Old City, Basilica of St. Anne, Church of the Hol, Garden Tomb. farewell dinner

DAY 12: RETURNING HOME

Transfer back to airport for your returnflight home
