DAY 1: VIENNA, AUSTRIA

DAY 2: VIENNA
During your morning guided sightseeing, visit splendid SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE, former summer residence of the Habsburg Dynasty. Drive by Prater Park with its giant Ferris wheel and see the famous landmarks along the Ringstrasse, including Heldenplatz with nearby Hofburg Palace, the National Theater, the State Opera House, Parliament, City Hall, renowned museums, and the Strauss Monument—a gilded tribute to the great composer.
DAY 3: VIENNA
Explore at your own pace today. Perhaps try some suggestions from your Local Host: a traditional Viennese dinner and concert, an excursion to Bratislava, dinner and a ride in a fiaker (horse-drawn carriage), a walk up to the Belvedere for splendid views and its museum with Klimt’s The Kiss, or wine tasting and Austrian appetizers.
DAY 4: VIENNA – PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC
Travel to Prague by HIGH-SPEED TRAIN (First class).
DAY 5: PRAGUE
Morning guided sightseeing includes views of 1,000-year-old Hradcany Castle and a walk in the CASTLE COURTYARDS. See STAROMESTSKE SQUARE, which dates back to the 12th century and started life as the central marketplace for the city.
It is surrounded by historic buildings, beautiful churches, and the Astronomical Clock on the Old Town Hall tower. Also admire Prague’s famous Charles Bridge, a masterpiece of engineering and one of the oldest stone bridges in Europe.
DAY 6: PRAGUE
Your Local Host will have many possibilities for your day at leisure in the “Golden City.” You might choose an excursion to Southern Bohemia with Ceský Krumlov and Ceské Budéjovice, a guided visit of Prague Castle, a Czech beer tour, a cooking class, walking route of Hussite sites, or shopping at the art nouveau Lucerna Gallery.
DAY 7: PRAGUE
Your vacation ends with breakfast this morning.
